So heartbreaking! Craig
Strickland’s wife Helen is praying for
his safe return after he went missing
following a deadly hunting trip. While
the search is still on for the singer,
she’s asking for everyone’s prayers for her husband to turn up alive.
Craig Strickland ‘s beloved wife Helen Wisner is calling on all the prayers the family can get for her
29-year-old husband to be following alive following
an accident during a weekend duck hunting trip that killed his friend. The Backroad Anthem member headed to a lake in Oklahoma with buddy Chase Morland, 22, while a savage winter rainstorm tore through the state. After the pair never returned,
authorities searched Kaw Lake and found the pair’s
capsized boat as well as Chase’s body, but so far
they haven’t been able to locate Craig. Now a distraught Helen is hoping that the power of prayer
will help see their family see through this distressing
time, and that Craig will have somehow survived.
“Craig is still missing. The search has been called for
the night. It will resume again in the morning with a
sonar boat. Still need prayers,” Helen posted to her
friends and followers on Twitter Dec. 28. Earlier in
the day she delivered a slight bit of hope in that
Craig’s dog was found alive, noting “Craig’s dog Sam has been found. His boat has been confirmed as
being capsized. They are still searching for Craig.
Please keep praying.” The brunette beauty even posted a lovely photo
together of them with the tender message, “We love
you Craig Michael. Come home.”
Craig and Helen’s pastor Heath Bryantheld a prayer service the evening of Dec. 28 in hopes of Craig’s
safe return. He told is followers, “Come be a part of
a time of prayer for @BackroadCRAIG and @HelenWisner at the Cross Church Springdale campus student building at 9pm!” and we’re sure
they had a huge turnout.
Craig’s Twitter account shows how much he
absolutely loves and adores Helen. In July he posted,
“DATE NIGHT before 6 shows in 5 states!! Gonna
miss this beautiful girl” as well as “There’s just
something bout fishing with a best friend,” that
showed lovely Helen in the background indulging in one of her hubby’s favorite hobbies. We certainly
hope Helen gets her wish and Craig is found alive.
Our thoughts are with Helen and the rest of Craig’s
friends and family during this troubling time.
